That's perhaps a bit of a stretch but would I take him over what we currently have up front? Most definitely.

Both. He doesn't get proper service but he isn't good enough to be our main man up front, he's way too inconsistent and he wastes too many chances.

Huntelaar is definitely better than Matri but Shalke would probably ask for something like 18-20 million euros, which wouldn't be worth it probably, unless we manage to get a good fee for one of Quagliarella or Matri.

We're looking at a guy who's potentially going to be Holland's all time top goalscorer.

He had bad luck with Real and Milan. Real wasn't really a team that fits him, and it's harder to settle in, in January that in Summer. With Milan was wrongly used, but still displayed some of his class.
This guy is scoring for fun for Schalke.
Huntelaar is slow, and his style doesn't fit many teams. He needs a quick wingers with good service, and/or a talented second striker or attacking midfielder to play behind him.

Definitely better than Matri.
