Obviously experience isn't everything. But I don't fancy throwing out an 18 year old who's barely played top level football on to the pitch in a huge CL match that's so closely contested.

It's Morata's third season in top flight while Coman is just out of his diapers. Does he deserve to play more in Serie A? Absolutely. 2-1 up in the champions league and try to take that one goal advantage. Not so much.

I don't want to see this guy on the pitch at all in the CL. He's way too raw. His first touch gave a counterattack chance that could have been very dangerous if BvB didn't fuck up.

Where Allegri is acting stupid is by not giving him minutes in Serie A against shit teams.

Coman is an attacking minded player. Obviously he got the chance when Allegri saw BvB opt for the equalizer. BvB were attacking and left space behind the backline for Coman's pace. He had a bad touch on the ball leading to a BvB chance but come on, Coman is not even used to Serie A and this game was led by a ref who either didn't blow the whistle or gave a yellow. Don't recall a fault not penalized by a yellow a part from the Pogba incident.
Very hard match to enter, especially when he's been given so little playing time.

Every player makes mistakes (apart from Del Piero) the difference is that Coman makes them on just about every appearance. But virtually every 18 year old will do the same. He is just choosing the wrong options and needs to learn that you can't always bring the ball down and head for goal.

Like @Iceman said there is a time and a place and a tight Champions League game is probably not the right one to throw him in.

Btw, as people apparently separate Serie A experience and Europe experience, here's one question for them.

How do you people expect a player, like Coman, to get experience in Europe? Apparently it's risky to play him, so he'd get benched. So where does that experience comes from? 10 minutes in group stages if we're leading 3:0? Maybe in 10 years he'll be ready to step in.

Look what Atletico did with their players. Look what Dortmund did with their players, before they reached the finals.

I have no clue how some expect players to grow whey they are getting 10 minutes per month on the pitch. Not even to mention Europe since that's a different world.

It's like me applying for jobs right now. It's impossible to find a job when everyone asks for 2 years of experience, but how can I have such when nobody offers that.

I think what most people are saying, is he has no real experience at pro level at ALL, it's not a case of him needing CL experience to play in the CL

He's just a kid, so if he's not yet even playing in the league regularly, he has no business featuring in the CL in important games.

FYI it says a lot of Coman that Allegri thinks highly enough of him to throw him on in a big game like this.

Loan him to sassuolo. He will get some game time, he will develop and maybe even help us by destroying roma and napoli and making them drop points. Then next season he'll be knwon as the best 19 year old winger in europe.
