What is ridiculous is the fact that even if we were willing to splash money on a good coach that no one would want to come now.

Said who? It would be strange for all managers to start saying they would come here and all we had to do was give them a call. How would that look?

If given a proper transfer budget, I don't think that many would just say 'no' to a club like Juventus upfront, bad season or not.

Where's the optimist in you hiding, Hus? :p

So Blanc or Benitez would come if we don't get CL or barely qualify for Europa?

Kuranyi is having his best season in years under Magath
he wouldn't be my fav purchase but he is not that bad as some of you believe he is
he has scored 20 goals this season in 28 games as a lone striker in a 4-2-3-1
and Amauri?

If bringing him means we are going to play 4-2-3-1 next season (and thus keeping Giovinco and buying Krasic and Rodriguez), I might even fancy the transfer.

all I'm saying is that he is not that bad and Shalke often play 4-2-3-1
Magath really turned him around
I'm not saying he's bad, but we already have Iaquinta, Amauri, Trezeguet, who are better than him (I still think Amauri is a good player having a terrible season), and we also have Immobile, who's supposed to be a good goalscorer (also played 4-2-3-1 with the primavera), and thus I see little point in buying him. But if the board wants us to play 4-2-3-1 and wants to sign him because he's supposed to be a natural lone forward as opposed to the three strikers we already have, I am willing to excuse this mishap.
