People underestimate how good Dybala was before injuries ruined him. He was quick, skilfull, excellent shot both long range and from inside the box, at one point he seemed destined to become one of the best forwards in the world. His 2015/16, 16/17, 17/18 seasons were great. He was prolific but also provided good amount of assists. A complete player. Yildiz has considerable talent, potentially he could develop into a very good player but he will never shoot like Dybala. Aint happening. Some skills you have predisposition to hone, others dont. I see Yildiz as a good dribbler, sharp eye for a pass, 15-20 g+a type of player. If he can reach 20-25, which were Dybala's numbers, he will trully make it then.

My biggest issues with Dybala were that he was so inflexible that we could only play with 2-forward formations. Also he was a bit slow and his first touch was lacking for his type of player.
And he was always injured.
Anyway we will see what Kenan is capable of in a few years... at another club.

dybala joined us when he was 22. at 19, in his first full season with palermo in serie a, he scored 3 goals (no assists). yildiz is at 6g2a plus 1g1a in the cl at the same age. i think it's a fair assessment that yildiz isn't way off the mark set by dybala and can have a similar career.

In 2016/17 he played more withdrawn role, behind Higuain. He would usually pick up ball in the middle and work his way forward. His 1st touch was shit I agree. So many times I lost my nerves but the way he could curl his shots into the net was spectacular. His dribbling was good, not great, and Yildiz can be better, maybe already slightly is. Yildiz is quicker and stronger as well. It will be exciting to follow his progress, hopefully here. Dybala scored +100 goals, which is no small feat, in his time here.

Cant really compare the 2 except for the talent. Physically and techically different players. Shooting will never come as natural to Yildiz as it was for Dybala. Curling efforts from 25-30 meters were his trademark. He was excellent free kick taker as well until Ronaldo's arrival who kept shooting straight at the wall.

I agree with Dino partly. For a player of high technique level as Dybie, his first touch is below average. He can dribble, can do one touch pass with accuracy and elegance, but his first touch like maybe half of them is just meh.
The part I don't agree is it's on Vlahovic level. Dusan is way worse lol.

For Dybala it was mostly related to him beign totally one footed which limits the ways u can first touch the ball.
U would say the same about 19yo Dybala - he was then reserve player at Palermo in Serie B. Yildiz still has time and probably could become even bigger player thatn Dybala if everything is goes right for him

Dybala was bought by Juve hoping he would become a true top player. A ballon dor winner type player. He was obviously great at a top team (as we were for a while) but never got to the final step of the podium. I've always said he was a rich man's Giovinco and while that's obviously a bit harsh I think you know what I mean.
Yildiz has the same level of potential that Dybala had and I'm hopeful he can surpass what Dybala was able to do and develop into a genuinely top player.
