Just way too isolated. He has no cm or lb anywhere near him to make runs
i agree with this. the fullbacks need to overlap and push more forward.

still we can't blame him not being good on playing on wings instead of am. it's not that big of change like say am to cm where duties can be very different. he is failing to basic stuff like passing, dribbling, running into good areas. you don't suddenly forget this when playing a bit wider.

morata , dybala, chiesa were also way less effecttive when asked to perform in different positions then their prefered ones, but their quality was still there to see. i can't say the same for yildiz to be honest.

why is that though? Isn't that something Motta does, have the fullbacks and CMs get forward with more freedom? I thought that was why he is better than Allegri?
Well Bologna didn't score much. Motta is defensive and possession oriented first and foremost. But he actually defends properly.

His attack was never a serious strong point. He's very conservative with the fullback movements. For instance they come into DM alot. And people think it's some possession thing, which ya sure but it's also to stop counters.

We don't really play 5 across in attack, usually 4. Yildiz should have a CM between him and Vlahovic or he should be there and a fullback should be in the Yildiz spot.

All top attacking teams do this but we rarely do imo. We are more conservative. But then again Cabal is pretty useless going forward and Luiz is slow as fuck too.

YILDIZ, THE 10 IN DIFFICULTY

A few shots in the last three games: the weight of the shirt?

With the Turkish national team, he does excellent things, but at Juve he doesn't seem serene and he does a lot of things wrong. To Motta, he is indispensable and he protects him. Beccolassi: "That number on the shirt doesn't fit. Now show how much you are worth."

cds can go and fuck themselves. lautaro failed to score a league goal between like february and september (didn't exactly check, it was a long run anyway) and nobody criticized him on a front page article, while he was the captain and one of the highest paid player in the league

doesn't seem serene? wtf. idiots

their only good point is that giving yildiz the number 10 was probably premature. but we all knew that already

Yildiz has failed to meet the expectations in the last games, but ThiagoMotta still considers him untouchable and defends him from the critics. The coach is ready to give him a hand, by changing his position on the pitch: considering the forced stop by Koopmeiners, against #Inter the Turk could be used as a trequartista. It is a way to put him closer to the goal and allow him to move wherever and whenever he wants.
