Doesn't seem like that was not from a credible source. Just rumours to piggy back on him getting nr 10. He has contract til 2027, so there's no real hurry to renew when there's 3 left.

We obviously want to lock him down for longer term on relatively low wages(according to rumors by using the no.10 as a bargaining chip) while he is not even sure yet of his exact role and adaptability under the new manager, simultaneously Juve’s management is likely still not completely convinced if they should up their offer before seeing what kind of impact he will have in the new season, all in all it’s probably understandable that this might take a bit more time to define, it’s the reasonable thing to do under this circumstances.

I’m just glad we don’t seem to be rushing anymore with the no.10, no point in putting more pressure on Yildiz, let him progress naturally towards earning it.
