That's cool, but all I'm saying is that they've done well lately with the 4-3-1-2
i dont see it that way sergey..

if i am not mistaken, Italia 's luck in the qualifying changed when they convert to 4231... since then they went to a 7 win streak... until Totti's injury before the Wales match...

Trap turned to 442 with Vierinzaghi attack and Dp on the wing.. of course Wales wasnt like when italia met them the first time and italia totally trashed them 4-0 with an Inzaghi hattrick.. in my eyes that huge win was more bcoz of Wales's lack of quality if anything.. that was proven in the next match vs Serbia when Italia's played disgustingly with the same formation ..of course Pippo was still the saviour....

actually personally i prefer the 4312 more becoz the game will be more smooth moving, more balance and the striker will not be totally shut out of the match.. but as the record book goes, italy was more succesful and consistent with 4231... that is nore important than Pippo Inzaghi.. and it is okay to sacrifice anyone for that purpose...

but it would be a waste of talent if Pippo is left out.. I'd say call him up and used him from time to time when italia stuck and deadlocked with 4231 and need to change tactic..as someone said of the 4 only Totti has unreplaceble talent.. the other 3 could rotate..

even though he is a better striker than Pippo plus have you ever seen pippo playing as the lone striker ................he's terrible meaning if Italy play with 4-3-2-1 Pippo should be thrown to the sub bench:stuckup:

I dont think Vieri and Inzaghi can be compared. Vieri's better in the air, and on the ground for that matter. Although i feel pippo is a waste on the pitch, i dont see him being excluded from the squad. But i think we've got way too many better strikers to have him assume a responsible role for the Azzuri in Euro 2004.

Like who? do you realize his NT experience and goal average? You think that some hot striker will do better than he can and be more useful? Get real...

Well, if you stood infront of the goal while ur teammates do all the hardwork and pass the ball to you to tap in after the keeper is already beaten. Man, even you'd have a better goal average than his.

And to answer your question on better strikers.....
vieri,dp, divaio, corradi, miccoli, montella, del vechhio.....

Oh and none of them lack experience either. Neway the point is Pippo may score goals the way he does, but we're gonna need someone more complete than him. Someone who doesnt jumble up and fall all over the place when he's not tapping the ball in from 2 yards.

I said it and so did Sergio..only Italians can really answer this question. The rest are too pro-Juve or pro-Milan to answer. We don't see black-red, black-white we see green white and red. You score..you play. regardless where your from.

hey I see the tricolore too! hmph :D
nyway, on current form I'd say start Pippo Inzaghi. we could still bring all those strikers Baggio named (although I would exclude delvecchio from that list)

and btw, I do believe he holds the sole responsibility for Italy's qualifying for Euro04... I dunno if thats biased or what, but he gave Italy a lifeline at the very least

I dont agree there sally. I think Italy did a good job. And every1 steppd up their game. I dunt think you can depend on someone like pippo to take sole responsibility because he is way too inflexible a striker. Italy can surely do without him. Especially if we go in to our games with the lone striker.

Thats what I thought

Italia per Italiani
I think your showing more black and red than anything else. Id have really liked to seen your views had Pippo still been a Juve striker. hmmm...
