I also saw this, don't know the source and I won't vouch for its validity.

Disclaimer: No doubt some people will find it upsetting. I don't post it to upset anyone, I post it because it's in the same vain as the previous post.
All valid points and all mistakes by Bush. He should have took notes from his own father and Bill Clinton.

That comment was pretty insignificant in the broader context. What I found far more interesting are the comments from the international press.

Anyhow, people blaming Bush to me is kinda silly, obviously a lot more people are involved in this, he`s just the mascot everyone goes after.

Here`s a quote from Lewis Black though (again, take it for what it is, a comedy bit):
I was amazed to realize that we`re the only country that tells the rest of the world on a nearly constant basis that we are the greatest country on Earth.

11,671 People died through guns in America in 2001.

Some 767 males and 49 females died from gun injuries in 2002, said Statistics Canada.

    Hm. Odd.

Well, when you take population and dispersion into consideration, it's not all that great. In the United States, you have New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, Washington, etc... where gang violence is in full-force. The population of those cities alone almost account for 1/3 of Canada's population.

But believe Don Bes and I when we say murder, gang violence, and drug trafficking is on the rise. There's a drive-by and a shooting almost every day in Toronto.

Population of The United States July 2005 295,734,134

Population of Canada July 2005 32,805,041

People don't know how to read and interpret.

    Hmm, not so odd.

Nigeria has donated $1,000,000 (one million dollars) to support the emergency relief efforts to help the survivors of the catastrophic hurricane Katrina in the Gulf Coast.

I commend the humanitarian efforts of Nigeria and all the other countries in the world to comfort the bereaved victims of the horrific hurricane Katrina. And I want Nigeria to do more. Because, Nigeria can give more than $1 million. No amount of aid is too much in charity.

    isnt micheal moore great
Though Michael Moore's methods are a bit manipulative, you can't mess around with figures. I find it strange that there are that many more people getting shot in America than in any other country.

Oh really? It's not like America have more than 11 times the population of Canada. Simple mathematics will show you that the figure is still not alright.
