He doesn't suck. He is a talented player with some clear limitations one sided skillset for wing position.

Don't listen too much about Dortmund fans, fans tend to exaggerate heavily about any player who struggled or been semi flop, like they have zero redeeming qualities afterwards.

One key factor to consider is they signed him as a 9 (what he was in Salzburg), when that didn't work out they shoe horned him unto new wing position. That takes adjusting.


Fast wing forward that attack reasonably well can work out in new setting, Lookman was seen as a flop in every club he was in before turning it around with Atalanta.


But there's two key things that worry me about Adeyemi (because his one sided qualities can be gameplanned for in specific tactical role). First is his health, and second is if he is worth the big price Dortmund would ask. If it's reasonable fee its ok. But the injury track record remains a worry.

My point is Orsolini saw his role reduced under Motta to the point he was essentially a bench player by the end, and his play style is similar to Chiesa. Chiesa may have been Allegris most impactful player, but Motta plays completely different than Allegri. So it’s not a leap to assume the reports of him not being in Motta’s plans to be true.

he’s not forcing it, it’s a combination of different factors. Like, maybe Chiesa shouldnt have demanded a raise the club can’t afford.

Maybe he is an alternative as someone here said.
I believe we will get Koop in the end as the player wants Juve as well. The fee will be closer to Atalanta`s wishes as it looks like a similar case to Chiesa and Vlahovic - They know we want him and the player isnt pushing too hard while he has a contract there.
I just hope he will be worth it.
He might not be the typical high value purchase we would be looking for but he is a player that is making the right decisions on the pitch - Something we really lacked last term.
