He doesn't suck. He is a talented player with some clear limitations one sided skillset for wing position.

Don't listen too much about Dortmund fans, fans tend to exaggerate heavily about any player who struggled or been semi flop, like they have zero redeeming qualities afterwards.


Fast winger that attack reasonably well can work out in new setting, Lookman was seen as a flop in every club he was in before turning it around with Atalanta.


But there's two key things that worry me about Adeyemi (because his one sided qualities can be gameplanned for in specific tactical role). First is his health, and second is if he is worth the big price Dortmund would ask. If it's reasonable fee its ok. But the injury track record remains a worry.

So what justifies the high price tag in this case?

I don't mind risky moves if somebody is heavily talented and hasn't impressed somewhere. But having somebody who hasn't impressed while being limited as well, plus having a high price, I just don't see the point lol

Tevez was great at point. Adeyemi never was nor he'll be anywhere near his level.

Man, Gakpo had a blast at Euros. I highly doubt Liverpool would sell him for a normal price. In fact, English clubs never sell for a normal price unless somebody is a flop

I don’t even know how you came to this conclusion. According to Transfermarkt he has 4 caps for the NT since 2021

Was mainly on bench, but someone they wanted to try out as CF, was hyped in Salzburg, like Moukoko was, but neither did anything more then those caps.


Germany is bizzare footie nation in that its completely incapable of producing CFs since Klose who was mainly just Mr world cup. Can produce an average journeyman Mario Gomez or current Fullkrug, but no real consistent good 9.

True, but Gakpo is just on bench or rotation in Liverpool, wasted there.

I hope he proves me wrong if we get him but his offensive numbers are absolutely ass. He's a typical explosive brain dead winger who constantly gets in dangerous situations then does the wrong thing 9/10 times

Which tells you everything you need to know about him. He wasn’t even used even though they had no real CF and used Harvertz or Füllkrug.

He has 4 caps for the NT and 4 for the U21 and was mostly benched or injured. Hard pass for me

Nah, Italy haven't produced world class attackers, but they produced decent to good ones on occasion. Not just for NT but at club level, Immobile has 207 league goals in that time so I count him in overall as success story. Balotelli before he lost it was really good etc.


I cant stress enough how incredibly bad Germany are at producing 9s for decades. It's really weird. I mean go ahea and try to name them. Since Bierhoff and Klose basically they have had no one. Just an average Mario Gomez and he was over a decade ago.


They lived on Thomas Muller being a legendary AM that is versatile enough to play anywhere, including CF. And now Nagelsmann is trying to recreate that with Havertz.
