More interesting than the senior side perhaps? :groan:
indeed, then again watching a bunch of pensioners play scrabble could also reach the same heights of entertainment as the NT....:groan:

sounds good to me :D

the most imprtant thing is that the Youth team never get an old coach...remember that Italy need to adapt to the football world and let loose of their stingy style of play.

Not just in Italy, but all over the world,Juventus have talented youngsters on loan. I personally think it's time that we should invest on some of them in a year or two. For example, look at Modena hitman Giuseppe Sculli and Piacenza star Enzo Maresca. Both of these players are playing brilliant football at this moment in time, and should return to Juve in the near future, especially Maresca. Another blossoming young talent is well known U-21 player Matteo Brighi. The upcoming prodigy had just returned from a loan spell at Bologna after being promised a starting place in the Juve lineup, but he was immediately loaned out to Parma in order to bring Marco Di Vaio to the Delle Alpi. I think that this was the wrong move,as Brighi is needed more than DV is in our current squad...Anyways,I hope the Juve board thinks about this and starts calling up some of our young stars to join the Bianconeri.

I'm gonna watch Sculli in action for the first time tonight (I was in the stands for Chievo-Modena but that was before I even knew he played there :embarass: ). It'll be interesting to see what he got to show.

Name Ivan Ergic
Date of birth 21.01.1981
Country Yugoslavia
Position Midfield

FC Basel fans were rejoicing in the summer of 2002 when Ivan Ergic agreed to stay at the club for another season. Part-owned by Italian giants Juventus FC, and only at Basel on loan, Ergic had been expected to re-join the Turin club. To the detriment of Celtic FC, he remained at the Saint Jakob stadium and was in outstanding form as the Swiss side disposed of the Scottish champions in August 2002 to progress to the first group stage of the UEFA Champions League. Born in Yugoslavia, Ergic moved to Australia at the age of 15, learning his trade at the Australian Institute of Sport before signing for Perth Glory. He was voted under-21 Player of the Year in Australia for the 1999/00 campaign, in the process catching the eye of Juventus, who signed him at the end of the season. He was immediately sent to Basel on loan and has improved every season since. Now established on the right side of the Basel midfield, Ergic's speed and desire to run at defenders have made him one of the club's most potent attacking weapons.
