Its games like these you realise that teams like Palermo make Juve and Roma look great. But they are very average teams. When you watch the premier league you see these lower teams playing athletic and direct football. Even if they play defensive they are equally thinking about how to get a goal. This Palermo side is terrible. When a team poses little threat on the counter, we can pretty much try every play in the book until we finally score. No wonder we struggle in Europe, the nature of the league is clearly not helping us. Not that long ago, these lower teams had players who could really hurt you on the counter - such as Miccoli etc

I also think we were lacking in ideas too. I remember Conte always had set plays set up. Now it just seems so random. The team is playing at a high tempo (something that can't be sustained), we should be winning these games comfortably playing at a normal tempo with better tactics and movements.

If we had the money id replace 4-5 of these players. Expecially Pirlo just don't have it anymore. And what good is Llorente as a targetman when his lay offs never lead to anything? He's utterly and completely useless!
Answer: He's not a targetman, just like he isn't a deep-lying playmaker, an attacking full-back, or acrobatic goalkeeper.

Nothing new tbh. But still there are peeps around here that act like if nothing happened.

You want to make Llorente work? Let him be an old school number 9 who just stays forward. He's got horrible ball control and passing and no speed, there's no point in playing him as a target man.

He needs services, not 1-2's. We needed 2 wingers who would constantly service him. The guy's got barely any service ffs.
