He missed a golden opportunity and so far has been non-existent.

I also wouldnt give him credit for that goal. That goal is all Licht.
Common sense dictates that if that ball was too high for Llorente to head into the net then surely it was too high for 99% of the world's strikers so I can't fault him there.

The goal can't be all Licht if Llorente is drawing 2 defenders to him, wins the ball, sends Licht into a dangerous area and then when Licht plays the ball across goal there are no CBs there to defend it because they were, well, you can guess where they were.

Llorente is doing everything well except scoring right now. But he's never been some diabolical finishing machine like some expect.

hm, am i the only one who doesn´t think that llorente was terrible?
He's contributing to our overall play. His control, passing, strength and hold up play is notable. But he just isn't a goal threat. He doesn't have the turn of pace that can get him away from his marker and he rarely shoots for goal anyway. I was hoping he would be a real aerial threat and that we'd finally have a striker that can bang in goals with his beautiful noggin but he hasn't really shown much in that regard.

From the angle I saw, Llorente did head it, he just missed.

I'll give you that he played a part in the goal but Licht made the cut, Licht made the pass that went passed two defender for somebody/anybody to get on and Tevez put it away.

And I don't expect Llorente to be some diabolical finishing machine. I just want him to finish what's there for him. Tonight, with that header, he's 0/1 and he's been "0 for" for every game so far. He can draw as many defenders as he wants but if he continues to draw defenders and go 0-for then he's going to draw defenders straight to the bench when Morata hits 90%+ fitness. Just saying we're not paying him to draw defenders...

Maybe but he missed another chance today and has yet to score. As a targetman striker, at some point we're going to have to ask for more than just hold up play and drawing defenders.

I like him, I'm just asking for him to put away the chances that are given to him, regain his confidence, and score like he's paid to.
