It can only get better,
I refuse to believe we are going to play that bad in the 2nd half... The defending has been disgusting, the 3 of them look out of sorts and with Chelsea on Weds that really doesn't bode well. Pirlo has been ineffective when he's being man marked so we can't rely on him and the wingbacks are playing poorly too. This is why we needed that headline striker, Matri is not going to get us a goal playing like this and Gio is playing too deep to effect anything, I'd like to see him cutting in from the flanks a bit more.

All in all our midfield is getting out played and out worked. The back 3 are also clueless to Jankovic, Immobile and bloody Boriello....

Nah, the placement of our backline is okay. It has more to do with our midfield losing the battle and therefore there is too much room between the defense and the midfield.

Give Genoa credit, most teams who face us just sit and counter. We don't face teams who play such constant intensity, which is to be expected. Couple that with a few changes and a slightly lacklustre approach and that spells trouble.

Football isn't as easy as just getting the personnel right. We could field a dozen different teams and they are all better than what Genoa have on paper, but getting an XI to work instantly is not always easy.

We can't expect to turn up and just win, not when the opposition wants to win so badly.

According to some people he is European top class box to box player. He shouldn't play that bad even without Vidal.
He's a really good player. But there's only so much he can do. He's not a physical dude or anything so in a game like this he gets shown up. He needs to play in a three man mid otherwise he's just average. idk wtf Giach is doing out there. Why the fuck he's playing is beyond me.
