Poor first half in terms of entertainment tbh. Poor performances offensively by both teams. Conte's tactics has a lot to do with this tbh. A positive for Juventus is the strength of the midfield, Udinese's midfield are finding it hard to break them down. Juve's midfield trio are very compact, and leave little space for Udinese to operate in. I see a lot of people wanting Esti out, but if you're going to take him out you're going to have to change tactics, imo he's vital to the 3-5-1-1 Conte is playing. He's stretching Udinese's defense, and providing width. Pepe on the left would not play the same role, he would tend to cut inside more. If Conte wants a draw, i think he should continue playing with this tactical setup(draw isn't bad away to Udinese). If he wants to win, then Matri needs to get more support, as he is completely isolated right now. No need to change personnel, just change tactics, play with 4 at the back and three upfront, Esti - Matri and Pepe.

Neither have we. I said it in the Udi-Juve thread that I'd be happy with 1 point from Friuli. But considering how Udi is playing we have to start taking advantage of it. I don't think anyone is mad that we're not scoring five goals. I think people are frustrated about the lack of composure and concentration on the final third.

I'm not that displeased with the performance so far, we've been the better side but yet again haven't taken our chances. Dont think Esti has contributed a lot and I'm not going to slate Pepe as he's playing out of position. Esti off for Quags would be a good move, with quag playing off Matri instead of Pepe. Matri is isolated and he isn't looking as sharp as he did a few games ago. We've got a goal in us and the defense seems to be holding up well so far...

I am not complaining on how we controlled the game as we did great there to paralyse all threat coming from Udinese and the cherry on top is the offside trap that frustrated the shit out of Guidolin and Di Natale. On the other hand, we barely ever threatened them with out lame attacks, the shots we had were simply too easy for them and they gave us an extremely hard time to penetrate their area. Why is this happening? We are simply paying the price of one thing on the other, in order to control the game, we are forced to sacrifice creativity and fire power up front. In my opinion, we can still control the game with adding more fire power going forward, that's my only complain, we can still control the game and we would have more possibilities to take the lead if we take a bit more risks.
