I only divided 20k by 1 M and multiplied by 100 to get his percentage. It is not rocket science but it seems they don't know how to calculate percentages.

21,718/1000000 * 100 = 0,0021718 %, that's your contribution to the 1000000 posts.
See if you take all the extra decimals away:

21,718/1,000,000
21/1,000 = 0.021 (*100 = 2.1%)
