Here guys, I've gathered up the results from last season and compared them to the referees we had... I was just wondering what kind of results we got with different refs.

Tiziano Pieri -

Juventus 4 - 3 Chievo

^ Won 1

Gianluca Paparesta -

Reggina 2 - 1 Juventus
Bologna 2 - 2 Juventus
Juventus 3 - 0 Inter
Juventus 2 - 1 Milan
Juventus 3 - 0 Atalanta

^ Won 3, Drew 1, Lost 1

Paolo Bertini -

Juventus 2 - 2 Perugia
Juventus 2 - 2 Roma
Juventus 1 - 0 Udinese
Juventus 1 - 1 Como

^ Won 1, Drew 3

Pierluigi Collina -

Juventus 0 - 0 Lazio
Inter 1 - 1 Juventus

^ Drew 2

Matteo Trefoloni -

Juventus 2 - 1 Brescia
Milan 2 - 1 Juventus
Juventus 5 - 0 Reggina
Piacenza 0 - 1 Juventus

^ Won 3, Lost 1

Emilio Pellegrino -

Juventus 2 - 1 Roma
Parma 1 - 2 Juventus
Atalanta 1 - 1 Juventus
Juventus 1 - 2 Lazio

^ Won 2, Drew 1, Lost 1

Massimo De Santis -

Juventus 2 - 0 Torino
Juventus 4 - 0 Torino

^ Won 2 --- is there a reason the same ref took the derby?

Emidio Morganti -

Juventus 3 - 0 Modena

^ Won 1

Luca Palanca -

Udinese 0 - 1 Juventus
Perugia 0 - 1 Juventus

^ Won 2

Antonio Dattilo -

Como 1 - 3 Juventus

^ Won 1

Marco Gabriele -

Juventus 1 - 0 Empoli

^ Won 1

Cosimo Bolognino -

Juventus 2 - 0 Piacenza

^ Won 1

Salvatore Racalbuto -

Chievo 1 - 4 Juventus
Modena 0 - 1 Juventus
Empoli 0 - 2 Juventus

^ Won 3

Stefano Farina -

Brescia 2 - 0 Juventus
Juventus 1 - 1 Bologna

^ Drew 1, Lost 1

Stefano Cassara -

Juventus 2 - 2 Parma

^ Drew 1

Now these aren't meant to prove anything or be conclusive, but I was just hoping we could see our next match referee and get some kind of feeling. Plus I was bored...maybe I should add that to the procrastination thread "gathering useless statistics"

interesting actually........i think we got some favouritism last season, but facts showed that Milan were the bum boys for the refs.

in the end, i dont think we need the refs to win us games....well, only against Parma LOL

Paparesta is the best Italian ref (and probably the best in the world) so I'm always happy when he's refereeing our games cos he rarely makes a mistake :)

I can't remember this Paparesta guy but Collina is IMO the best referee. He's amazing, you often have to look really hard to notice any mistakes he makes.

Paulo you don't have to look far for Collina's mistakes. He's often accused of being self centered and trying to get all the attention on him. That would explain the ridiculous reason of playing Perugia-Juve under that tempest. No wonder Moggi hates him, declares he's not the best ref in the world and does not want him to ref us anymore.

Paparesta is a much better ref who does not excel in showing off like Collina.

Hard to say much from that. But its more of what kind of decision the ref made during a particular match rather than wether we won or loss 1.

I mean..... from these stats, u can't tell if Juve played great, the opponents sucked or if it was the ref who resulted in us winning a game, so.......

I would agree there have been some irregularities with us and Collina but otherwise I think he's superb, in international games etc.

He is class, but at times his arrogance and showing off leads him to make some questionable decisions. What other ref would have waited over an hour to see if the rain stopped?

The only favouritism I can remember from last season was the Chievo-Juve game with that awful fog and some dubious decisions :undecide: Was there anything else?

And I have to agree with Zizou on Collina; he's the king-ref out there, but lately (especially the last 2 season) he made some weird calls and the fact that he wasn't allowed to ref some of the derbies in the league doesn't speak in his favour.

For me, Paparesta was the best one on the pitch last year.

You are still moaning about that one?:D

That was one of the decission for which he was hailed by all in Calcio (except JUve of course:D).

It was a game that decides the championship. You play it at the same time as your direct opponents. You still started later than Lazio and played last 20 minutes or so knowing that Lazio won their game....

And he is a strongman on the pitch, the guy that exercise his authority on the field. Papparesta does the same ;)

If i had to chose between the two, i would go for Collina as curently the best, but it's a very thin line between them.
