Congratulations. Is that the same tournament you were telling me about that Brad Friedel has a stake in?

So I take it you lot play like an EPL side then... boooooo.
Yeah, the Continental Cup in Cleveland. We're pretty stoked that we actually won.

I wouldn't say we really play like an EPL team. We play 4-3-1-2 with an out and out playmaker and 3 mids supporting him so the set-up is different, and we don't play a lot of long balls either although we tried to when we realized how much faster we were but the Americans were really good in the air so we reverted to through balls instead.

Yes I can make the runs. Probably not as quickly as Iaquinta can, however I can make the fucking runs. I've been playing football for 16 years, every position, so don't think I know nothing about making runs.

And what the fuck is this bullshit... making runs is just part of the game and should be taken for granted. The bottom line is, if you have a striker who can't make the runs, you have a very shitty player in your hands. Making good runs is just part of the game and any decent footballer can see the decisive runs that need to be made.
The whole point is that Iaquinta's indeed rather fast, Andy. I'm not saying I'm liking him so far, but give the guy some credit. Surely, what he did at Udinese wasn't all bad? He carried the team and mind you, he is a world champion after all.

Lets but an end to this BS... the likes of Barone and Zaccardo are world champions does it mean anything special??

It means quite a lot. It means they were good enough to be part of selection of the 23 best Italians in 2006. Besides, Iaquinta scored in the WC as well.

Newcastle is ready for big things this year, they might having right now the better roster. For the first time in this decade, i think they really are a better team than we are, its sad but true...
I ve seen other games after this clash and our image really reflects that,
    Newcastle ought to win !

Iaquinta disappointed in the friendlies, but so did the whole team. Let's wait and see. He has other charateristics than DP and Trez, which is a good thing. He is a tank. I would have prefered Klose or Suazo though, who costed similiar prices.
