39' Now Ono shoots towards the skies after a free-kick is rolled to him on the edge of the area.
38' Buffel does brilliantly to pick out van Hooijdonk but the Dutch international gets right under his shot and over it goes.
37' Juventus take the opportunity to play keep-ball and try to take the heat out of the encounter.
36' Buffel shows his skills down the right. Song's cross then fails to by-pass the first defender.
34' van Hooijdonk looks to make amends at the other end but is unsuccessful with his attempt.
32' It was a glorious strike after van Hooijdonk's attempt to clear the corner had landed at the Argentine's feet.
32' Camoranesi scores with a great volley to give Juventus the lead.
32' Camoranesi(Juventus)
31' The action switches straight away to the other end where Lilian Thuram plays a one-two to get clear. The cross is defended but only just.
30' Chong-Gug Song does well to pull the ball back and it provides a great opening for Buffel. The shot is hit straight at Buffon.
29' Tacchinardi is booked following a foul.
28' Del Piero's attempted curler is thwarted and Di Vaio is unable to take advantage of the rebound.
27' Shinji Ono, quiet so far, shoots over after discovering a little bit of space.
27' Van Hooijdonk tries to find Thomas Buffel but his young partner is crowded out of it.
26' Del Piero sprints away from his marker to earn a shooting chance but drags a left-foot shot wide of the far post.
25' Another Juventus corner as Patrick Paauwe executes a fine tackle. Again Juventus are first to the delivery but they are unable to get the header on target.
23' Feyenroord try and respond and a cut-back is cleared. Any neutral fan in the stadium could not complain about the amount of penalty-box action so far.
22' Del Piero is proving a tricky customer for the Dutch defence. He wins a throw a long way down the left and when the cross is cleared Tacchinardi shoots wide.
21' Ciro Ferrara meets the corner and Zoetebier turns it over spectacularly.
20' Del Piero digs out a cross and it brings his team a corner down the right.
19' Davids is fouled and it earns Brett Emerton a yellow card.
18' Emerton(Feyenoord)
17' Van Haaren makes a strong run and lets loose a shot that Gianluigi Buffon is happy to clutch to his chest.
16' Di Vaio tries to find a team-mate deep in the Feyenoord half. The move breaks down but then Nedved picks up possession and his cross is blocked.
14' A corner for Feyenoord as the game continues at a furious pace. It comes to nothing.
13' Another free-kick - this time for the Italians. Alessio Tacchinardi heads it wide.
10' A free-kick for the home team after a foul by Ciro Ferrara. The defender is cautioned.
10' Ferrara(Juventus)
8' A promising moment for Feyenoord as Chong-Gug Song puts Pierre van Hooijdonk clear but the flag is raised for offside.
7' Some respite for the Dutch side as Edgar Davids is pulled up for a foul.
6' Juventus are keeping the pressure on with Pavel Nedved taking a prominent role in the visitors' half of the field.
6' Christian Gyan is penalised for a foul on Di Vaio.
4' Feyenoord are finding it hard at this early stage to retain any possession. The white shirts of Juventus are very much to the fore.
3' A good save from the free-kick by Edwin Zoetebier following a header by Alessandro Birindelli. The goalkeeper can only have seen the ball late and it was a smart plunge that kept it out.
2' Alessandro Del Piero is fouled in a dangerous position by Ramon van Haaren.
1' Juventus get the game under way and take the chance to string some early passes together.
Juventus have only played one game in the Italian league but are already hampered by injuries which prevent David Trezeguet from returning to the stadium where he netted the 'golden goal' for France in the EURO 2000™ final. Gianluca Zambrotta and Gianluca Pessotto are also sidelined. Dutch international Edgar Davids returns to home soil and summer signing Mauro Camoranesi retains his place after helping Juventus begin their Serie A campaign with a 3-0 win over Atalanta BC. Italian Under-21 international Emiliano Moretti stands down from that lineup with Alessandro Birindelli coming in.
Feyenoord, the UEFA Cup holders, have never won their opening Champions League fixture and will be hoping tonight proves fourth time lucky. They are without midfielder Paul Bosvelt following the sudden death of his father two days ago, the only change from the eleven that swept FC Twente aside 5-1 last weekend. Christian Gyan comes into the lineup named by coach Bert van Marwijk.

Welcome to De Kuip for the eagerly-awaited UEFA Champions League Group E encounter between Feyenoord and Juventus FC. It is a fixture that takes fans of both teams back five years when on the equivalent matchday in Turin the Dutch side lost 5-1.

End 1st half
45'+1' One minute added-on time will be played.
45' A heavy tackle comes in on Del Piero from Paauwe.
44' It has been an excellent half of football and Juventus will be particularly pleased with their efforts so far.
43' Juventus waste some good possession outside the area and the chance disappears.
41' Thuram thought he had worked his way free only to be penalised for a raised boot.
40' Feyenoord are applying good pressure with the Van Hooijdonk-Buffel partnership beginning to function.

I don't like the sound of this, hopfully we will only play keep ball until half time. I want to see more attacking football in the second half.

It looks live we've had most of the pressure, we also had a bunch of headers going close. Feyenoord has has a few dangerous changes on their side.

Doing far better than I thought, but it's still only half time, which came at the right time for us. Let's hope for more of the same!

Sounds like a great game, loads of chances for both sides. Hopfully we can convert a couple more chances to make sure of the result.
