It was a pretty shit shot.

The fact that it's a low shot by Pirlo is part of what makes it so difficult to change directions, though. Anticipating that shot, Cech has to get down, and once that left knee touches the ground it's really difficult for him to push off with any power; he's gotta go against his momentum and his lack of leverage to get left again.

I actually thought Cech was one of their best players on the night (not saying much, but still).
