That's another thing bro: Juve has never been much attached to anywhere geographically or ideologically. It's different for us.
You have a point then.

Yes, that's the difference. Sure it's sad that we have lost the link to Turin but anyone who knows Juve knows it's an Italian team above a Turin team. and the goal has always been to be an international team.

You can't imagine a scenario where Bayern loses their Bavarian flag, Barcelona their flag or Real Madrid their crown (or royal moniker) from their emblems. Those are important regional and national ties that Juve doesn't have, so it's different. Plus Torino are called 'Il Toro' and have the local claim to the city. Juve can keep producing blue kits every now and then in homage to the House of Savoy, not all traditions have to die.
It's not that I really disagree with you, I think you have a good point. But on the other hand you can be a very good and international team and club and still preserve your local identity.

Bayern and Barca are good examples of that. Two clubs taking much pride in their own region but still managed to become global giants. But you're probably right Juve didn't have the same kind of link to Turin as Bayern had to Munich and FCB to Barcelona.

1929 and 79 are the only ones as zebras, yes.

The bull is on the coat of arms of Turin:

This goes back to Roman times, at least associating the "Taur" part with the bull. The pre-Roman people were Celtics called Taurini, but this word probably comes from the Celtic for "mountain people".

Bit of a side note, but when Hannibal famously passed over the Alps with his army (including elephants) to attack Rome from the north, he encountered the Taurini and took their capital after several days of siege.
Great answer.. thanks.

I consulted with a friend who just happens to be a designer at a top firm, and she said the orange jersey is a disaster and the JJ brand is a farce.
art fashion food music etc is a matter of opinion so just because someone is qualified that doesn't mean their taste or opinion is best.

Personally I hate it as will most people so in that regard I guess she's right but it seems like Juve want to go far past what is considered normal and don't care about taking a safe option.

I'm a sucker for classics but I have to admit our new logo has grown on me

I don't mind next year's kit as long as those paint stripe stripes are a bit thicker

The blue kit is very nice and the third is terrible but whatever, it's a third kit

I was actually being sarcastic :p

It was a not so subtle dig @ someone who posted the same thing on the last page :D

The new JJ logo has really grown on me too and looks much more modern especially if you want to wade into casualwear market.
Normal people who have no interest in Juve (or don't even know Juve) buying JJ instead of Adidas and/or Nike? Like that is ever gonna happen. Juve fans will buy it - but they would have bought stuff with the old logo as well imo.

A lot of younger people wear sport casual now.

You'll get the odd person buying replica jerseys - you see celebrities wearing football jerseys all the time, Juve ones included - so people will likewise buy them or copy them, but the sport casual lines the club is producing are what they are really trying to push, including some of the matchday apparel.

Oh I get that, but i doubt they'll ever buy JJ over the established brands. Maybe the odd club jacket, but t-shirts and sweat pants? Can't see it.

Why do you think it happens for the NY Yankees?

Think big. Yes it might not happen for :J:, but I admire the club for thinking big.

Now, vote up. I'd pick #2 or #5.
