I just read we have a player name Lorenzo De Prete loaned out to Siena
and some people say he is talented
Is it true? I never heard of him before

Its good to win the champions, even if its a new primavera mostly for them too. Them and Inter are the toughest, and its nice to continue the winning streak on such a team.

We always have a great Primavera side, with promising youngsters... the question is what happends with those youngsters and why they dont make it to the first team.

Because they aren't good enough to make it to the first team or tehy never got the chance to shine in the first team. After the Calciopoli, things changed for the better ironically.

Players like Ekdal, Marchisio, Giovinco, Criscito, Nocerino all got their chance to play for the first team.

Obviously they won't all make it but the future does look bright for some of them.

Yeah, no offense, but only Gasbarroni was really somewhat talented (he is better then Konko, who isnt nothing special, just average hard runner). The rest were just mainly average, as you can notice from their careers.

From the age groups 84,85,86 etc is where we started to have a better batch of youth players (mentionning 84 only for Palla really). Because, we won 3 Viareggio tournos in a row (and the 4th lost the final) with this generation between 2003-2006. In terms of primavera generation, its an impressive batch and acheivement. Even the players themselves dont turn out more then decent, it was still an unusual amount of talents in the academy.

Yet again showed by the fact its also unusual that Juve have dominated the youth NTs by having a big core of the azzurrini players in their ranks.

So not only the calciopoli factor, but us developing this quantity amount of talents like this is unusual for us (Juve allways been about discovering young italian players, but mainly was about discovering them when already developed at late teens early 20s, like with Del Piero, Chiellini, Tacchinardi, Zambro, Maresca or Scirea in old timers). I mean, what talents have we ignored in the past? We barely bother to develop any, or invested in the youth program as we have since recent times.

I mean, what are the past primavera players, Luca Rigoni? :D Or losing out on the likes of...Loria ;) Or Tommaso Rocchi who turned out decent Serie A level, but only after like tons of years of obsecurity in Serie C.
