It took just 34 seconds to break the deadlock, as Trezeguet unleashed a left-foot snapshot into the top corner that stunned Coppola. Nedved drilled just wide from a Del Piero assist, but Buffon was also kept busy by Nocerino’s fierce strikes, while Cacia fired over from a promising position.
