You have to pay. There are two levels of membership -- the standard 12€ and the special member rate of 36€. They are both annual. It's a supporter thing, so you're likely not going to technically get your money's worth. But what they heck ... Juve has cost me enough money for my support as it is.

But I'm shooting for the 36€ membership -- I'm going to dump enough cash on tickets and the Juvestore in October, so I might even make up the difference.

Well it's either credit card or the option you proposed. Try to get a credit card from your friend or parents or whatever and compensate them with actual money on the spot.
