Honestly don't mind anyone preferring Cambiaso or Illing over him, they are young and automatically more exciting for fans, even if they have proved much yet for these absolute statements (not you, DanielZ).
If the club has go sacrifice him because we are broke incompetent mess, and because he is 30 and we have two other young options (we are actively going younger, went from 27 average age to 25 average age), will get that pragmatism, very reluctantly.
But thats a bussiness decision. On footballing and meritocratic level, I won't ever understand anyone dissing him for his actual output. Which has been very good.
These young guns would be blessed if they ever became that effective and specialised in their abilities.
