Pavel Nedved is in doubt to start against Lazio after pulling up with a thigh problem during today’s training session.

The ex-Biancocelesti hero was set to be one of the stars of this crunch match at the Delle Alpi, but his presence is now uncertain.

Nedved limped off during Saturday’s session clutching his thigh and should he not make it we would see Mauro Camoranesi on his left flank with Gianluca Zambrotta on the right.

If this attacking formation is fielded, then it makes it more likely that Antonio Conte will replace Alessio Tacchinardi in the centre.

Juventus are already without David Trezeguet for this top of the table clash. Although the Frenchman made an impressive return midweek against Basle, his full Serie A comeback is postponed.

Last season’s Capocannoniere rushed his return from a knee injury two months ago and has not featured since, so the medical staff are taking things slowly this time around.

Trezeguet has not even been included in the squad for the Sunday evening game, so either Marco Di Vaio or ex-Lazio man Marcelo Salas will partner Alessandro Del Piero.

Juventus continue their press silence and will not speak with journalists before tomorrow’s big match.

Probable line-up: Buffon; Thuram, Iuliano, Montero, Birindelli; Camoranesi, Conte, Davids; Nedved; Del Piero, Salas

but to make him play if he's injured or half injured, is not the best thing to do
Thats right... But I think thoose rumours about him being injured are only rumours written to scare us.

Ok... thats pretty fare fetched... But I just want him to play.

Is Lippi out of his FUC**N' mind ???? Salas starting ??!!??

I'm no coach, but any idiot can see that "EL CHUMPADOR" is washed up, and has NO place on our team !!!!

I will say that Lazio's defense is questionable, and IMO Peruzzi is weak.In the games that i have seen, goalkeeping seems to be their overall weakness.

It wont matter much though, if we have a washed up loser like Salas in front of their goal.

This could have been a shootout, but with Lippi's hair-brained idea of putting Salas in as a starter, it wont !!!

Vinman, don't be surprised by Lippi's decision. He is known to make these crazy stunts. Remember at Depor last year? Sometimes Lippi thinks he's too smart for his own good. Next we might even see a two man defense!!

I agree, if it isnt broke, then why fix it ?? We should have DP with DiVaio up front.

Doesnt Lippi kinda remind you of Trap sometimes ???!!??

Chill out guys,Salas hasn't been the best this season,as a matter of fact he has been far from it,but I'm confident he can get the job done if needed to. And btw,on Italian tv it said that Di Vaio would start alongside DP.

Btw is not sure that Nedved will be out... and also if he will, nothing is lost. He never had "turnover" and he looked tired, so to skip this match is not a disaster; also if Im sure he cares particolary about playing with his ex team, so he will do his best to be in the team.

P.S.: somebody understood what happened with Teezeguet? is it just cause he's not at his 100% he need to train, or ther's something under his exclusion???

We're playing at home guys, so come on, let's be positive! We hammered Basel 4-0! Basel scored 2 goals against Valencia in the Mestella, and hey, we kept a clean sheet against them. ;)

im sure we can handle lazio, and as for Salas playing, why not? I'm sure he's seeing this as a chance to redeem himself... and i have a gut feeling he will score the winner :p

Juve to win 2-1
