Dopo Inter e, soprattutto, Atletico Madrid, anche la Juventus pare essere interessata al centrocampista del Gremio Lucas Pezzini Leiva. A rivelarlo il vice presidente del sodalizio di Porto Alegre, Tulio Macedo, che ha affermato di aver ricevuto un'offerta ufficiale dal club bianconero per il mediano, classe 1987.

It says that the Vice-President of Gremio Porto Allegre has confirmed that Juventus have made a official offer for the Defensive Midfielder, Class 1987.

Does anybody have some info about this player ? I have read that he plays very well and is a big prospect for the Future. Somebody have seen him playing?

Lucas Pezzini Leiva (born January 9, 1987 in Dourados, Mato Grosso do Sul) is a Brazilian football (soccer) midfielder. In 2005, playing for Grêmio, he won the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B and the Gauchão 2006. Recently have been called up by Dunga. Lucas is nephew of the former Brazilian football (soccer) player Leivinha.


International Career

Lucas made his debut for Brazil on October 07, 2006 against Kuwait club, Al-Kuwait S.C.. Brazil won the match 4-0 and Lucas made his appearance in the second half. However, this appearance did not count as his first cap as this match was not considered as official friendly match by FIFA.

plus he is 8 days older than me :D

I had him on Football Manager 2005 in Juventus.

He was excellent.:D

I m kidding, yeah, he is good, an excellent prospect.:tup:

i only know him from FM and he looked good. Didnt see him play though, mybe the ppl who saw the Kuwait game could give us an indication

Leivinha, one of the greatest Brazilian soccer players, was a sport commentator of the SporTv for three years, but he left in April of 2005. He signed a contract with the Network Bandeirantes de Televisão in the same year. He also gives lessons of soccer for the city hall of São Paulo.:faq1:

I didnt know him, but i googled..:D
