Category: General

Inter stopper Nicolas Burdisso and Red Star striker Nicola Zigic are set to join Juventus, reports insist.
After a summer of selling following their Calciopoli relegation, the time has arrived to spend and the pair are possible new additions to the Old Lady roster.
The Bianconeri are in need of a central defender and the Argentine has been specifically requested by boss Didier Deschamps.
Burdisso is understood to have expressed his availability to play in Serie B for Juve, despite having received interesting offers from Palermo and Torino too.
The South American may arrive in a co-ownership deal with the Via Durini club, thus allowing Juve to invest money elsewhere.
That cash could be heading off to Serbia with reports in local newspapers Press and Blic suggesting that Zigic is wanted.
Speculation claims that the 25-year-old reached an agreement with the Turin club in Italy last week while his Red Star side faced Milan in the Champions League preliminary round.
Juve have allegedly offered him a three-year contract and are ready to part with £5.3m in an attempt to convince the former European champions to sell the 2m-tall athlete.
Former Red Star boss Walter Zenga rates the youngster highly and believes he could succeed in the peninsula.
“He can still improve a lot and is capable of doing very well upfront, even alone,” said the former Inter and Azzurri goalkeeper.
“If an Italian club were to buy him, I believe it would be a very good deal.”

Source: Football Italia
