one penalty. every player has missed penalties.
and we have Del Piero for that anyway.

I hope Juve come through and sign him. he would also be available for a great price compared what he would have cost last year.

If Milan do buy Dhino for 70 million pounds we will be brilliant to sign Riquelme for like 10 or 15 million Euros.. if that?
i was joking,,,hence the smilie;)

If we would buy him I would be pleased rather than sad, but I think there are better players for us in that postition and that is why I don't want him that much.
It's not that he didn't well at Villarreal at all, he was quite good there, but he has been always been seen as a "talent", and never really made it. At age of 28 you can't be a talent anumore IMO

And I say once again, Riquelme should stay in Boca. Next wednesday he will lift the Libertadores once again, then he will return to Spain, and as Villareal don't want him and as I'm expecting, he will not receive any offer from an European club so, he will return to Boca, and kick Milan ass at the International Cup.

I would get really pissed if Juve buy Riquelme, not because i think he is a bad player, because he is happy at Boca. This Riquelme who is playing in Argentina it's best version so far that many have seen.

Riquelme vuole l'Italia: Juventus già in pole

From a team building point of view this is the PERFECT year to get the guy.

Afterall, we're building up a new team, and if those who feel the team must be built around Riquelme to do well are correct, then this is the one and only year.

I'd welcome the guy with open arms, espeically as in recent history we play the best when we revolve around a chief playmaker. (Baggio, Zidane, Pavel / Camo)

Juve show Riquelme interest
Saturday 16 June, 2007

Claudio Ranieri has more power to decide Juventus transfer policy and after Gabriel Milito has requested Juan Roman Riquelme.

Predecessor on the bench Didier Deschamps resigned following a row with director of sport Alessio Secco over the players that were being signed for the return to Serie A.

New Coach Ranieri does not want to be in the same situation and with former member of the ‘Triade’ Roberto Bettega’s consultancy contract not being renewed, he will have more power to dictate the transfer policy.

One of the first names on the list is 28-year-old Argentine creative midfielder Riquelme.

Although still owned by Villarreal, he has spent the last few months in Argentina with his old club Boca Juniors following a row with Coach Mauricio Pellegrini.

He is leading Boca towards Copa Libertadores glory and the loan spell expires on June 30.

I don't think Riquelme can face the pressure in Juventus. Everybody would expect immidiate impact. He would crumble. I don't think he's strong enough to take it.

Besides, isn't he close to signing for West Ham?
Whi is better then him? Messi, Ronaldinho?

They are all imposible signings so let us be more realistic and be satisfied if we sighn im. At least he is the best name mentioned in our wanted list.

Riquelme is an awesome player, but the only thing I'm concerned about is his attitude. He's known for doing odd things. In Spain I remember him refusing to play Barca and he also left in the middle of the season to go to Argentina without permission a couple of times. He's no Cassano, but the guy strikes me as a bit of a nutcase.

i will pray to god that juve will buys him. like already someone said italy is not fast like the la liga, in italy the tactic more important. Romy is lazy yes, but he has qualities that made him famous. so if we buy a player who is fast, than when he is old he isnt the same anymore. But riquelme could play until 34 and he could play the same football like he is doing now. And the fact that he isnt looking happy, look zidane he was also very cool and never laughed. Ronaldhino is laughing all the time this pisses me also off. Nobody wants someone who he laughing when the team lost. The guy is awesome, this idiot Van Gaal gave him in Barca never the chance to shine. He needs someone who believe in him. Should roman come to juve i will make peace with secco haha

True. The guy is slow as hell, but he has amazing ballcontrol, ability to read the game, shots, freekicks and passes and those things doesn't get worht with age.

And in Barcelona Van Gaal used him as a sidemidfilder where hes abilityes were lost.
