uventus: salta tournèe in America

by calciomercato, the tournament in america has been canceled due to lack of agreement between the home sides....

useless matches to go and waste time in north america, we can play with more stronger teams in europe
Then why do Europe's biggest wales come to the US and East Asia every summer? Any thoughts? Perpaps football is a little more than "playing stronger teams"?

Why do you think the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester United and Chelsea tour North America and Asia? For a few good competitive matches? Are you aware of how much money we (Juve) were able to bring in from our end of season tour to Japan? It's all about promoting the club, gaining popularity, and finances.

Exactly Stuart. And let's not forget about the countless number of fans like me who are "footballically starved" and would like to actually attend a few European matches here in the States. I think it is a great program for all parties involved.

Yep. These tours to the States, Asia and elsewhere provide people who aren't able to go to Europe to watch their favourite team opportunities to see their idols in person.

Brazil NT charges $1,000,000 for one game. They will come anywhere, including Mars and Jupiter.
Well we are not Brazil NT, we are Juventus :D:cool::D

It is from a commercial point of view. When you look at things from a football point of view it isn't. The players need to take long distance flights which are bound to tire them, after which they have to play some useless exhibition games. And in all reality, I'm all against making football even more commercial. It's horrible enough already. Too bad there are some fans in America, that have to miss football, but there aren't enough to call it a football culture anyway. Stick with baseball Andy ;).

somebody is gonna have to pay their huge wages
They shouldn't have been that huge to start with. It's alright that they make good money, since they do provide entertainment for a lot of people, but commercialism has shot their wages through the roof.
