Not in the CM/SS spot though, we already have stacked up our best players in those positions (Vidal,Pirlo, MArchisio, Pogba, Giovinco, Vucinic and Tevez)
I'll ignore CM as Iturbe isn't one.

Vucinic has effectively been sold. Giovinco isn't close to being one of our best players. Tevez doesn't want to play in the wide forward role that Iturbe plays.

The problem is we never spend big money like this and now that we do it's going to be a big gamble on a very unproven player. This seems more desperate than anything else....

Lavezzi>>>>>>>>>>Nani
How proven was Alexis Sanchez with Udinese three years ago when Barcelona spent a total of 38 million on him? I'm not comparing player for player, but the situations are nearly identical. In this day and age, with scouting the way it is, being so much more advanced than it was even a decade ago, these things are going to happen.

Laudisa on Radio 24: "AC Milan's offer is a lie, if Verona asks for 27 , why they offer 28?
Laudisa on Radio24 ...
Morata, Iturbe and Evra
Iturbe Marotta will stay at 23, Sogliano holding porsition at 27 ... pause for reflection
Morata: the agent said the player's loyalty is too Juventus. 2m loan, 18m buyback, but before Real will need to buy a striker. (Falcao?)
Evra will see later.

Splashing 15m+ for Lavezzi with a wage of over 3m will be more desperate than this Iturbe deal.Pretty much Galatasaray-esque
Not really, he is at least a very proven player. I don't think between 10m-15m is unreasonable.

At least Sanchez had 3 Serie A seasons to his name, this guy has 1 and 8 goals. Berardi has 16 goals and we're not even taking him back....

He's much more talented than Berardi. He can be explosive on his day.
Its not all about goals and assists. And its not like Berardi was consistently scoring goals. He had a 4 goal game followed by a couple 3 goal games which included pens in it otherwise he was hardly scoring.
If we are so keen on Iturbe, it just means we rate him very highly and we need entrust upon our faith in the mgmt.We are not signing some random scrub, this guy could potentially turn out to be a star imo.

18mln buyback?

You mean 2mln for the loan, and 18mln option to make it permanent?

So say we sign iturbe. Wtf are we going to do with berardi when he returns? Both occupy the same position
    Sell Berardi to Dortmund

    - - - Updated - - -

Meh both are that. Iturbe is more about dribbling and pace - he's a typical winger while Berardi not really.
    Yep very true

Lavezzi is quality but he's hardly someone who'll take us to the next level. Its not like we're magicallt going to become CL contenders with him.
I also seriously doubt they'd let him go for less than 15m.PSG are looking to extend his contract.

But Barcelona spent that money after 1 really good season by Sanchez after 2 ok seasons, and that Udinese squad was certainly better than what Verona was this year. God that team was really fucking good.

This situation with Iturbe can also be interpreted as Juve really value the player, see him on a ascending plane in regards to development, and better to strike now than miss out and have to pay god knows what next year.
