Not comparable tbh, Berna could never play as RWB and that was what Cuadrado played tonight,so is really not worth the discussion, point is he was not efficient and has to improve if he is to play in this new formation...

Was an off night for Juan, had a couple of good moments but in truth a poor performance overall, yet again he wasn’t the only one underperforming tonight so let’s not overreact, good thing is we didnt lose and took an important point.

The point is that we waste our time playing him as an offensive outlet. It hurts us so much and allegri didnt notice.

Play him further back and use a real WC winger to command our line.

Everytime he flufs a play, you can see the hopelesness in dybala and higuain.

Well I try to always look at what options he has when attacking. He is a very right footed player so his inclination is to always look for a cross. Problemo numero uno is that Higuain and Dybala offer nothing in the air. Cuadrado will literally not cross the ball unless Mario is on the field. So he just puts the ball on his left and then the move is over. Yes, that is a weakness of the player but he is still useful if you can put him in better situations.

If Mario is not playing, just put Juan at LW so he can have the option to shoot. Or don't play him.

I really can't understand Costa and Juan setting up like today when there is nothing to cross at. How many times today did they get the ball and look up, see nothing, then put their head down do a step over onto their weak foot? 5 times each?

So frustrating.

He's not exactly Beckham. But he has shown that he can cross. Is it a coincidence that it's literally only to Mandzukic though? The guy played wingback today. He's playing behind three other attackers. All three also produced nothing. Our CMs produce nothing. Can't even get in the box.

When Cuadrado comes down the right side and looks up, he's looking for a target to cross to first. When he goes onto his left foot it's usually because there's nowhere to cross and sometimes yes, he is a retard. But when he goes onto his left, it's over. We have to avoid that scenario when your *4th* best attacking option, your wingback, has to go onto his left foot.

All players have limitations and weaknesses.

Again, Cuadrado is just not efficient enough in the final 3rd. I can't blame him tonight as he was a wing back so it's not on him.

i keep saying this guy and Madzukic should not be starting for us as wingers and in a 4-2-3-1/4-3-3 as they offer nothing on the field but people think am hating, our formation is 75% of the time redundant with them both as Mandz and him offer no creativity, at least mandz can score, Cuadrado whom i used to lijke very much in his early seasons in Fiorentina he was so good, dribbling, scoring, assisting but after he went to Chelsea and came to us its like the Asamoah effect happened to him, he basically forgot how to pass, score or even dribble sometimes, its amazing the transformation he has went through...

I dont agree with ur statement about higuain and dybala. At least not totally.

cuadrado crosses happen to find mandz more often cuz of tactical reasons. He is on the side which crosses will find him, and cuads crosses are not the best so in case he fluff them (which happens a lot) mandzukic happens to be there to clean the mess. Since he knows how to head a ball.

But i agree that if mandz is not on, cuadrado should be switched side for him to at least have his right foot to shoot.... Because on the right he is not only deprived of his better foot, but is forced to create, cross, assist... and he simply doesnt cut it. So if allegri is deatset on playing him, at least play him on the left for him to be able to shoot with hs favoured foot.

Personally im tired of him leading our line, because most attacks sadly go thru him, but if we are destined to see cuadrado on the starting line up until he retires, at least try him on the other side.

Cuadrado on the left side is pointless. He has never been a goal scorer. All that's gonna get us is him shooting to the sky 4 times per game. His vision is not particularly good to justify losing him on the right side to thread passes from the left either, for that, playing Bernardeschi on the left would be much better. If we want a right footed player on the left that's gonna have to be Mandzukic or Pjaca (when he is fully back). Cuadrado is a pure, old school, winger.

Or because of the fact that he was our MVP the moment he arrived. We are growing to be dependant on him and Mandzukic and dread the moment they won't be fit.
