Cuadrado is better when he does not have the ball. We have to adapt the team away from him a little bit. And we have to encourage him to move away from his comfort zone which is to drift into space and stand still until he gets the ball, at which point he initiates a dribble against 4 players.

That moment when he ran the line like a train and Khedira put the ball over the top is the exact way to use Cuadrado. Let him move towards the net without the ball and put the ball there for him at the end.

It's a more effective tactic to have Pogba, Marchisio, Dybala or Morata with the ball and use Cuadrado more as a classical winger IMO. Trying to dribble through Italian defences will never work.

If he even just makes off ball runs like Lichtsteiner he will be more effective. Since obviously he can cross, shoot and dribble better at the conclusion.
I disagree.

You want to take away his best aset by not letting him drible past players, while asking him to move off the ball and get in good positions which requries high intellegence and he clearly lacks it.

And even if he somehow finds himself in a position to score his shooting until now has been abysmal.

So, we should let him do what he has been doing until now, drible past everyone and create space for others.

@ 1:41 = you can see they know he is capable of beating one man so they don't have a choice but to send a 2nd guy to try and close him down.
@ 2:19 = again, a 2nd defender rushing out opening up space for dybala then lays it back to cuadrado running into space...creating absolute havoc for the defense
@ 3:02 = ...watch him when Morata misses  @Jem83 @Bianconero_Aus
@ 3:35 = again 2 defenders trying to double down
@ 3:58 = 2 almost 3 defenders.
@ 4:44 = same

Clear as day, folks. Get him the ball on the right and let him work his magic.

Nothing comes from it though. It's hard to play with players like him because you don't know what he's trying to do.

Juventus want to seal €20 million deal for Chelsea's Cuadrado

Juventus are hoping to agree a €20 million (£14.8) deal with Chelsea for the outright purchase of winger Juan Cuadrado.

The Colombia international joined the Italian titleholders on a year-long loan deal just before the close of the summer transfer window.

The former Fiorentina attacker has unsurprisingly had little trouble settling back into Serie A, quickly becoming a regular in Massimiliano Allegri's starting line-up, and Juve now want to make the move permanent at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.

Indeed, the Old Lady is readying a €20m offer for Cuadrado, though Chelsea are believed to be looking for closer to €25m for a player that they only signed from Fiorentina for £23.3 million (€32m) in January.

Regardless, the Blues are not presently willing to start negotiation a fee, as they have more pressing on-field matters to contend with at the moment, with Jose Mourinho's future as manager in doubt after a dismal start to the Premier League champions' title defence.

However, Chelsea are keen to offload the 27-year-old, who managed no goals and just one assist in 15 appearances for the club before sent to Turin.

Consequently, Cuadrado's agent, Alessandro Lucci, is expected in London in the coming weeks to discuss his client's long-term future.

Juve are keen to wrap up a deal for the South American as quickly as possible, as the ex-Udinese ace is not short of admirers, particularly in Spain.

Cuadrado, though, is happy in Turin and is hoping that his stay will be made permanent as soon as possible

Will try to illustrate the contrary :D

0:22 moves forward , dybala gives him the ball and if he had kept himself onside would have been 1vs1 with the keeper .
0:53 again attacks space and puts himself in a very good position to give a dangerous cross
1:41 they do send 2 man to mark him , but they also close him down perfectly . They give him no options except to give the ball backwards .
1:57 Gives the ball to khedira and makes a run forward , gets served by khedira , imediatly gives it to dybala who should have passed it back in that instance and we would have created another great chance
2:18 Now this is a chance when his decision to dribble is very correct imho , tries to get past his opponent in a position that if he succeeds could have given a very dangerous pass , but yet again he is forced to give the ball back . Imediatly after he attacks space gets served and we create another good chance for a cross which doesn't conclude well .
2:52 again makes a great movement forward khedira launches the ball to him and creates a scoring chance which morata messes up .
3:20 Seen him do this or try to do this very often , dribbles in the midfield line , or almost always tries to . In this case the opponent gets a yellow , but generally it's pretty useless because as soon as he passes the first he is closed down by 2 people afterwards and he simply gives the ball backwards . In some cases he tries to dribble and succeeds most of the time , sometimes he aims to dribble , but in the end decides not to and gives the ball back in this situation which terribly slows the game down .
3:35 2 people mark him and again he simply is forced to play it backwards .
3:58 carbon copy of what generally happens , dribbles one , two others come and he plays it backwards .
4:21 illustrates what I said in 3:20
4:44 Same as all other situations sees forward to dribble 2 people in front of him keeps the ball for 2-3 secs decides not to dribble and gives it back . Only thing got out of this is lost time .

To sum it up , it's clear that the situations where he has been more dangerous have been the ones when he has attacked space . All the dribbles he does in the midfield line have been almost completely useless at this point . Imho he should attack space more , most of the time this will lead to him either being in a good position to cross or be on a 1vs1 situation in which if he succeeds he will most probably be on a great position to score differently from all the dribbles he does in midfield which only leads to him being closed down by 2 players after passing the first one . His dribbling is a great weapon , but unless you are maradona and can pass them all it's useless to start dribbling everyone from the midfield . Imho he should try to go further down the pitch and try to dribble only in the final third of the pitch .

Exactly my thoughts.

He is string with the ball at his feet, not away off it, and his finishing is shid as of today...why i would want him to be ending plays witht his kind of low performance as a finisher=?

Can't see why Allegri won't try him as an oppsite wing player ( LW ) his crosses would be much more dangerous, he could cut in and shoot and it will allow Dybala to play as right attacking player.

Allegri plays Dybala in his natural position as roaming central forward , plays Cuadrado in his natural position as RW/RM, and found a way to hybrid Morata in his natural positions (ST/LW) by starting him off the wing but allowing him to move in the space in front of dybala, and it is showing exceptional potential allready.

What you suggest, is madness.

Cuadrado is a right winger, weak left foot, little thread from shooting, excellent cross. On the right, he can use his weak left foot to fend off the defender, and move the ball with his right. Inverting him would move the ball to his leg closest to the defender, wich makes is much easyer to intercept. He would also have to cut back in order to cross, where as he now naturally passes his marker on the right and then crosses it. Lastly, he doesnt have a clinical shot, so the only good thing about inverting him, is nonexistant

Dybala is a central forward. He is not a winger. You would crush his game by moving him out.

Morata can play striker and left wing. Allegri found a way to hybrid both positions into one. What you would do is move him to the right where he'd lose most of his effectivity.

That like how Guadiola neutered the best team of the decade. We indeed shouldnt do such silly bullshit.

Luckely we got a good coach who wont.
