He was an integral part of our UCL journey. Actually Allegri made a big mistake not playing him in the final as dani alves was unable to pin back marcelo.
I can also mention al lot other not so fantastic. He can play good but he is incredibly unpredictable. Final is not great time to use lottery of player.

It was a good time to use Cuadrado. Barzagli is simply too slow to stop pacey wingers. He had already been exposed against Monaco.
We will never know. It was a chance he would play fantastic game. Barzagli is not great option anymore. I really cant stand his inconsistency in important games even hard in Italy. We didnt have perfect solve but between him and Barzagli I will also react like Allegri.

Fair enough. I would've preferred Cuadrado though.

Cuadrado's performance against barcelona is many examples of evidence that he should have been on that pitch from minute 1.
Him being there would have given Dybala more freedom and would have kept Casemiro more occupied.

Ok. As I already said maybe will be better but I will also play without him. I cant say just because we failed I will be so smart and play him. I will not and some here will play him. I think with him our chance was 50:50 looking his whole season.

yet Barzagli played a decent game in final comparing to the nightmare games that Bonucci and Chiellini had. Cuadrado might have had a better game than Alves upfront, but when he got the chance to prove it, he got naive and earned a red, so I wouldn't really be arguing for him here

The problem also was that playing Barzagli meant 3 at the back... a more defensive and stupid approach. Regarding Cuadrado getting sent off, you know Ramos fabricated the second yellow, and the game had already descended into a shit show anyway.

well Cuadrado gave Ramos something to work with and you should never do that with these sneaky bastards. guys like Mandžukič, Alves and Khedira know how to get in the face of an opponent without getting in trouble because they've played in Spain, Cuadrado didn't even try to provoke something yet got sent off because he's a rookie in the art of dirty cheating. if he had started Ramos or someone probably would've used his naivety anyways. but I'm sure it was a valuable lesson to him, he'll surely know what to expect from La Liga players going forward.
