I am also hating this Anti-Criscito wave that is going on lately.. For god sakes he is one of our best defenders. He might not be brilliant but he is alright. He is not a Cannavaro nor a Nesta. Who knows maybe in the future he will be brilliant, but currently he is worth every penny he is getting from us.
Its really funny what people sometimes say. When we play old players they hunt us for playing too old players and we need youngsters, and when we give a chance for the youth, they don't want to tolerate their lack of experience.

Criscito is doing alright. He's been criticised in the media very much (any player who wears our shirt will, just look at Fabio Cannavaro and Ibrahimovic when they were playing for us, they even brought out a video to dig a grave for Cannavaro). So let us Juventini stand by his side. Lets give him so worthful criticism not distructive criticism..
Exactly my thoughts:tup:

IMO, Criscito is doing far from alright. If he was, why would Ranieri keep subbing him with Legrottaglie?! That should tell you something.

Criscito has benefitted from a much better shake than Boumsong ever got, and right now I would have to say I would trust Boumsong (when healthy) as a CB more than Criscito.

Boumsong is physical stronger but he make to many mistakes. If he could avoid that, then yes, but he is also injured, so we need to find solution between our healthy boys.

I don't think people criticize just for the sake of it. They criticize based on his performances. And his performance vs Roma was horrible, so I don't know why you're surprised he's coming under criticism. An experienced defender would have marked Totti much better.

You know guys .. Dominico is young and he's already playing a high profile game .. I know he won't be criticized as much if he was in Siena or Catania .. but this how it pays to play in a high profile team .. every eye on you.

remember Chiellini when he first came ? everyone were like who's that amateur ? get him off why would we even need him if we have Zambro ? but look at him now .. he's mature and we can depend on him any day of the week. Criscito is brewing right now. Don't put too much fire on the cookery or it will burn.

After all, Italian football has no good defenders in the new generation, at least not up until now.

it was a risk to buy only a CB, who just had recovered from knee problems..
My Barcelona fan friend was like. Dude, what were your management thinking ? We were after Andrade last year and we changed our mind because his injury. I replied oh well hope he doesn't get it. Now he got it. I don't know what were they thinking :faq2:

Juventus president admits Andrade replacement needed
tribalfooball.com - September 24, 2007

Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli admits Jorge Andrade's knee injury yesterday will force them back into the market.

"I hope for the best for the lad," said Cobolli Gigli. "There's still a long way to go before January, but clearly we will have to consider the situation closely."

Criscito is doing well, he is young and improving every week. Not many defenders would be able to hold up against Totti. It was simply inexperience which led to his goals by getting to tight to himand hopefully Criscito will learn from that and it will make him a better player. I think we need to give him a few months and then we will start to see the benefits of the brightest young defender in the country.

I'm not sure it can be said that he is doing particularly well at the moment but, as long as he seems to be learning from his mistakes, I will stick by him.

Broken kneecap for Andrade

Jorge Andrade, after spending the night at the Fornaca clinic, underwent Nuclear Magnetic Resonance and X-ray tests to diagnose the left knee injury suffered in Rome.

These tests, carried out by Professor Carlo Faletti, showed that the patella bone is shattered. Therefore surgery will be needed to repair the bone and to review the condition of the kneecap tendon, which was operated on two years ago.

The abovementioned situation appears less serious than previously thought, but the player will still be unavailable for a long period of time.

Sounds pretty nasty but at least they say it isn't as bad as it could have been.
