According to this site he is a free agent.He didn't sign a new contract with Bayer Leverkusen.He was injured at that time but now,after he got fit at Corinthians,he is looking for a new club.He is experienced,tall and got the perfect age.A good short-time solution if you ask me.

Possible,but he's injured too at the moment for at least 1 and a half months I think.

He's a good leader for the defence. I'd still prefer a world class defender, but not much are available.

I would wait until January. We should play with Grygera and Chiellini at center and Brazzo and Criscito at LB and RB.
In January we need two defenders and we should get Canna and Barzagli.
