Likes to dribble, busy player, decent eye for goal and shot, pretty good header of the ball too, comes inside from the left onto his right foot usually for Catania. Could cover across the wide forward/midfield roles or as a second striker, I'm not sure about the price tag though. Maybe it's the 'going rate' for attacking players.

Thanks.

Lets just hope Marotta is using him to pressure on CSKA.

Also, Martinez is not Del Neri’s style. He’s not a pure winger, who defends and attacks in a 4-4-2. He takes a more attacking role.

Martinez deal almost done
Thursday 17 June, 2010
Juventus have almost concluded a deal with Catania for Uruguayan winger Jorge Martinez, but both parties are still haggling over a fee.

The Bianconeri have made it their No 1 priority this summer to stock up on players capable of providing a threat on the flanks.

Il Corriere dello Sport understands that Juventus' general manager Beppe Marotta met Catania's directors yesterday evening.

Catania soon laid out their demands, asking for a straight €15m cash payment at which point Marotta asked for 48 hours to think about it.

Ideally, Juventus would like to agree a transfer worth between €12.5m and €13m, which would be paid in installments, much like the deal for Simone Pepe earlier this month.

A move for Martinez would almost certainly signal the end of talks for CSKA Moscow's Milos Krasic who Juventus feel is being priced out of their budget.

Makes no sense, the Krasic is reported 15/16 and Martinez is 15. That part is definetly bs.

We have a verbal agreement and only signatures are missing. Lazio may have a chance in the next 2 days to outbid us.

No Krasic?
"We have reached a verbal agreement with Juventus, but nothing has been defined yet. The agreement is there, but anything can happen unless pen is put to paper," Lo Monaco told lalaziosiamonoi.it.

"We have an appointment in 48 hours and the deal could be closed."
