Dudes just stop hating. It's worthless.
For starts, we were so unlucky. Giovanni Alberto Agnelli, half-brother of Andrea Agnelli (he was also the son of Umberto) was the "chosen one" to lead the family's business. The guy was very promising, he started to go up in business world while also not using the sirname Agnelli, working at other companhies. He was passionate about Juve. Used to go to games and all. Then he got cancer and went to die in 1997, at the age of 33. A big tragedy.
Than Fiat group entered in decline after some years and with Gianni ageing, it was tough to find someone to lead business. And more than 10 years ago, Elkann was pickhanded by the Advocato to be prepared to succeed the family's business.
And according to media reports, FIAT has been recovering well the past years. Elkann is, even though very young, reportedly doing a very good job at Exxor, what is extremely important to Juve.
Unfortunately to us this guy will never really support Juve, neither be really interested about Juve. But regardless, he runs a huge company controled by shareholders who want to make money. He can't really do much. I think that when Gianni was the president, the business weren't open as today. They were strictly controled only by and for the family. So they did wathever with resources, and that's why Gianni could pour in money for the club 25 yrs ago.
Now it's open, with many more people involved besides the family. They just can't give money away. If Juve wants to grow, it will have to be by our sole competence and also by changes in Italian football and club's mentality. Which is starting to happen with Roma, Fiorentina, Napoli.
Anyway, I do agree his face is very very punchable.
