Juventus are very close to agreeing a transfer for Valencia RB Joao Cancelo for around €40m. A new meeting is planned in the coming days to finalise the deal before June 30. Joao has chosen Juventus. [SuperDeporte]

Juve close to Cancelo breakthrough | Football Italia

Juventus are close to the breakthrough with Valencia for Joao Cancelo, as it’s now just about how to pay the €40m fee.

According to Sportitalia, Sky Sport Italia and others, a deal is imminent for the Portugal international full-back.

He spent this season on loan at Inter with €40m option to buy, but the Nerazzurri would not meet the price.

Now it seems as if Juve are working out the terms with Valencia to spread out the payment.

They have had similar moves in the past for Juan Cuadrado from Chelsea and Douglas Costa from Bayern Munich, taking a player ostensibly on loan with obligation to buy at the end of the season.

This allows the Turin giants to make the transfer show up on their balance sheet for next year.

The arrival of Cancelo would not rule out Matteo Darmian, as negotiations continue to lower the €20m Manchester United asking price.

Yes, getting two right backs to add to your one right back and your right winger turned right back can mean one thing, and one thing only - getting rid of your only left back...

Cmon now, stay serious, nobody even wants Sandro this bad to suggest he may leave. If United wanted him that bad, they would have gotten him already, as they have with their other targets so far... This is Mourinho we're talking about, few million is not a problem, he doesnt care about that, he just overspends and signs him...

When Sandro officially rejects his new contract offer and asks to leave, then and only then we can talk about him leaving and who his replacements can be..
