First of all, there have been several good young players coming through in Italy recently.
Secondly, it's not unusual for a big team to go a few years without having a young player 'make it' because the bar is set so high that it is typically very difficult for young players to break into the first team.

Florenzi, Insigne, Perin, El Shaarawy, Balotelli, De Sciglio, Murru, Destro.
That's just quickly off the top of my head, not counting ones that Juve own and not counting foreigners.
So you think other big teams are producing youngsters good enough for their first team every other year?
Most are lucky to get one player every few years who is genuinely good enough to play for them a lot.
