There was always interest in the guy. It was Secco's dream to get him. Player cried when we didn't.

Definitely buy this guy. I'd sell any of our current mids for him, I feel like he'd be perfect for the team.

Unfortunately he doesn't value club football as much. He's a great player. Will he ever be captain of Juventus, if he did go to Turin, replacing Del Piero? Not likely.
I don't think anyone is saying he'll captain Juve. Chiellini and Buffon have that wrapped up.

Τhis would be absolutely amazing. Melo it's ok when he is calm , but Mascherano is a fucking beast , in my opinion easily among 5 best defensive midfielders worldwide. If there is any chance for this to happen we should make any possible effort (due to economical reasons even by selling Melo) , even though we have other priorities. I dare to say that this move would be a blessing for the player also (although let's be honest juve at this time isn't as glamourous club as we used to be) , i think he made a wrong step in his career ( of course not considering the fact of titles - barcelona is an ideal destination from this point of view- but taking into consideration his own presence and playing time ) because they ask him to play like Busquets - calm , secure passes, participate in the team's control game - something i think is a bit odd for him. He is a very good player playing actually for a team , that's not '' appropriate '' for his style of play.
Anyhow would be great to see this player wearing and defending a Juve shirt.

Mascherano would fit Serie A very, very well. Tactically smart, adept in the tackle, decent when passing the ball. Since the game is a slightly slower than La Liga he would be perfect in a holding role here. So we should definitely make a move for him as the Sissoko replacement... no brainer, really.

But then the problem arises that we might not be able to afford Aqui or some of the other signings. I guess we have to bargain with ourselves if we want quality on the side.

If we decide on him, then along with the new manager we'd have a more Capello-like midfield with Mascha and Melo sitting in the center, Krasic out right, and maybe Marchisio out left. Obviously not a fan of that stuff.
I was gonna say...I wasn't sure where you were going till the end:D
