I guess few teams share our policies of letting players go if they want to leave.
Honestly, it's a good policy for moral and explains why our team is always generally in good spirits, but it does lead to making deals at below market.

Clearly even if Mascherano wants to leave, Barcelona's initial comments are not encouraging.
The whole "letting players go if they want to leave" is a great policy if you are a big club with a vision and project. Those clubs have created an environment where players rarely want to leave because they are being compensated fairly, have great relationship with teammates and coaches, are winning, and have the ability to market themselves. That concept does not work for garbage clubs like Inter. What is their appeal to keep their players? "Stay here and play in front of 10k fans and draw against Carpi and Palermo?"

Yep. The chances of this happening are about 0.00001%

And that is probably being generous.

google translate: I make a clarification: #Mascherano not want to leave the # Barcelona. Different is that the club wants to sell it.

Would be amazing if happens.
He's a world class DM/CB.
32 is not too old, Pirlo was 32 as well.
He has easily at least 2-3 years of TOP level football.

Would cover 2 positions, and no need for a backup CB(those Benatia rumors).
Will definietly help us and be a class signing.

Of course they said he's not for sale. What u expect them to say?

And what Barca would gain from a sale is completly irrelevant aswell, if the story about Mascherano asking to leave is true. Barca obviously don't want to sell, but are forced to do so if he wants to try a new experience.

depressed.
We won't get Gomes > United
We won't get Pjanic > Barca / Bayern
We won't get Mascherano > Barca will not sell

We won't get anyone beside italian sucky league players such as Berardi and De Sciglio.
End of mercato. We'll stick with Sturaro,Lemina,Hernanes and Pereyra.

The agent of Javier Mascherano (31) has visited Juventus' training ground. He told Barcelona that the player wants to leave. [ser]
