Rennes starlet Jacques Faty insists he would be interested in a move to Juventus.

The French Under-21 international has been dissatisfied with only playing a bit-part role at Stade Rennais this season.

Faty's younger brother already plies his trade in Italy and the 22-year-old seems keen on a move to join the Serie B side as they look to recover from the country's match-fixing scandal.

He is set to be a free agent in the summer and looks to be burning his bridges with Rennes ahead of the January transfer window.

"There is a big squad and individual trouble. People who say the contrary are liars," Faty told radio station France Bleu when asked about the club.

"They should have used less ambiguous words towards me in the summer. I have always been outstanding when I have played.

"My brother Ricardo, who plays at Roma, often talked about Juve's interest in me. Of course I am attracted by that club.

"Didier Deschamps is someone intelligent who knows my talent."

Sky Sports are quite reliable magazine so I think Faty is close!

He wants to join, but can we offer him first team football?
well kovac is not so young, next season or in 2 seasons, if he proves to be good he could be a starter.

kovac isnt young, tudor continues to be injured, legrottaglie isnt going anywhere quick...Boumsong is becoming more solid but still isn't world class. I think Faty has a real chance to make something of himself if he was to join Juve.

yeah but we need to understand that we need both...you need that young star coming through but also a solid defender as well.

how many world class defenders are out there who are willing to join juve who wont be playing in the CL or UEFA? there are not many at all.

Ideally what we need is for Boumsong to become the player Deschamps says he is then with Faty, maybe that will form a very solid central pairing.

He will be free in summer and if we get him in january he won`t cost very much with just a few months on his contract. we should give him a chance.

Yeah, Are we going to permanently sign him in January or offer a pre-contract in January..?

I think pre-contract is the more sensible option...why spend a few million when u can wait 5 months and get the player for free

it's a more sensible option to offer pre-contract, unless things get terrible(injuries etc..)

i think the real question should have been how much are Juve willing to spend to get these players...that is probably why they hired DD...he is a coach who looks to young players kind of like Wenger and more recently Ferguson
