Do you mean it's the Parma game you're talking about or are you complaining the 6000 people didn't pay €100 to watch an unimportant game of friendly football.

The prevailing climate of negativity here saddens me to my core.
Come on this is the club's first game, if fans won't turn out for the opening ceremony of the new stadium (such a big event for the club).

Thats simply not good.

I'm talking about the Notts county game, as in the oppening game of our new stadium. Anyway from what I heard the prices in the stadium are very reasonable. And also it won't be just a friendly their will also be a show and great enthusaism on the day of the game vs Notts.

Can I get an American member to slap some Field of Dreams into these lads?

You can't blame the fans for not going if the tickets are 100 euro's each and the Italian economy is struggling. I'm assuming the season ticket doesn't cover the opening ceremony. Why would you spend an extra 100 bucks if you already bought your season ticket?

I was also going to say that maybe its indicative of our diminishing popularity overseas as well considering the huge amount of tourists attending English games but even then, few people will travel to see this game on a thursday when they can go to an actual league game on the weekend instead.

Work days are never easy to see a game on, especially an event that will last as long as this PLUS the game kicking off so late.

I think the Parma game will show more promise, but we REALLY need to win this first home game...not just for the fans and getting them to come but the team would suffer psychologically I would think. No one wants to lose the first home game in a new stadium. LOL that would blow.

When was this?? what was the occasion anyone know?

As for the tickets, I'm sure tomorrow they will sell most of the remaining tickets.
For me I will try to be optimistic and hope to see a packed stadium, it just has to be full.
I'd rather go to this game than a league game actually, so the season tickets are not an excuse as someone suggested here. If I had already
bought a season ticket why wouldn't I go the extra mile and pay to attend what probably would be a very memorable ceremony?
I just wish i live in Turin.
