Does anyone else think that Juve deserve a larger capacity stadium of more than 44,000 ppl? Some where along the lines of the San Siro or Emirates Stadium? I dunno I think that Juve have such a worldwide reputation that we should have a bigger stadium IMO.

If you take into account the average attendances for all of Juve's games (be they in the Delle Alpi or Olimpico) over let's say the past 20 years, you're looking at between 35,000 to 40,000 I would say.

The global support which Juve enjoys is unquestionable, however it is widely accepted that in Turin, Torino are the most supported club whereas the majority of Juve's Italian support resides elsewhere, especially in the south of the country and surprisingly Milan.

Taking the figures above into account it makes perfect sense to build a stadium that should sell out every match-day as opposed to having a 60,000 capacity one which may only be two thirds full. If the demand for tickets increases over the years I'm sure I remember hearing that the maximum capacity could be raised to meet said demand.

Just imagine the atmosphere when this place is full, 41,000 screaming Juve fans, so close to the action, it will be amazing.

hope this answers your question

We had that. 50% of the seats were utilized as dust collectors.

Juve set stadium date Juventus have confirmed that their new stadium will be officially opened on Thursday 8 September. The outfit will move into their new arena, built on the site of their old Stadio Delle Alpi, for the 2011-12 campaign. Juventus will take on an as yet unnamed opponent on that Thursday evening, with Manchester United a possible challenger. Although the Serie A campaign will begin in late August, Juventus are set to ask the League to make sure their opening game is played away from home.

I was obviously just joking about the parking spots people. But nice to see a Dennis Leary response :)

The stadium looks so kick ass...need a wallpaper of those pics of it at night with the mountains in the background. Looks so great.
