i think someone had said in Italy you cannot name any building after a living person
Neither a living person, nor someone who has died in last 10 years. it should pass at least 10 years after that person is died.

But im thinking most of the sponser named stadiums have a second fan-based name, and since the official name of Juve's stadium will be sponsered and the fact is rules can not apply for the unofficial one, so it can be whatever fans choose to call it.

why? cuz it's bigger and full twice a year?
It being huge, but still close to pitch is a factor.

It has an iconic status.

i see. well i was talking about beauty, confort, atmosphere
How can you talk about atmosphere when there hasn't even been a game played in it yet?

I've been to the Allianz Arena, arguably the best stadium built in Europe in the last ten years or so, and it hasn't got anything on the San Siro.

Sure, the Allianz looks cool from the outside, but it doesn't feel as imposing inside or outside as the San Siro does.

Comfort isn't an issue for me in stadiums.

I went to the Allianz last Sept for Bayern vs Koln and the atmosphere, aside from the Bayern hardcore's, was average enough, it is a pretty fucking impressive Stadium though. I would take the San Siro over the Allianz anyday of the week though, I've been to it 7 or 8 times and never get sick of the place.

Red did you watch a derby game at the San Siro? What do you think about the fans/ultras in Italian stadiums?
My only trip to the San Siro was when Inter got thrashed by Schalke a few months ago.

The Ultras are great, even if they occasionally cross the line as to what is acceptable.

I've been in the Curva Sud for Roma-Inter, the Curva Nord for Lazio-Milan and the Curva Sud for Juve-Palermo and it's fantastically intense.

I was in the Curva Nord for Fiorentina-Juve in March 2010 (when Diego scored in like the 2nd minute) and the hatred the Fiorentina ultra's have for us is incredible, an ultra stood just in front of us for the entire game holding up a scarf which was split in half with Fiorentina vs Liverpool on it, and looked at our ultras for the duration of the game, obviously having a dig at us about Heysel, our ultra's were frothing at the mouth's trying to get at him, but the flexiglass was doing it's job.

I love sitting in the curva's, unreal experience.

Sounds like when going to Ibrox with Aberdeen and singing about the Ibrox 'Disaster'.

Gotta love the hate.

Aye.
