There was a press conference today:

Francesco Gianello Juventus’ Venue Director: “We began to build the stadium in 2009, now it’s ready and waiting to open its doors to the public. The new stadium’s qualities: proximity to the pitch, security, technology, welcoming environment for the fans. The idea is that Juventus fans come here and feel immediately at home. There are two kitchens in the stadium capable of preparing 4,000 meals. From October the fans will be able to conduct a stadium tour. The museum is set to open in spring. On matchdays over 800 people will work at the stadium”

Francesco Calvo, Commercial & Marketing Director: “The stadium is a unique feature in Italy, it will be the stadium to change football. We’ll provide innovative services: hospitality, restaurants, car parking, creches. The pre-match and post-match entertainment is important, we’ll provide shows on matchday. We predict to increase the growth of turnover in relation to ticketing, naming rights and added services. The Juventus Premium Club is important for us, 4,000 exclusive places of which we’ve already sold over 85%. The stadium will give our sponsors a great opportunity, offering visibility in an optimal setting along with PR opportunities. Thursday night’s show will be of international quality, we’ve made an unparalleled investment, also for television production”

Marco Balich K-events President: “We’re excited because we’re participating in a momentous occasion, we’re happy and proud. I’d like to thank Juventus for how the club’s enabled us to work. We’ve worked on 3 concepts: Tradition, Innovation and Style. Juventus and the fans will play a key role. We’ll pay tribute to the great moments, but also remember tragic times during Juve’s history. Over 500 volunteers will bring the spectacle to life. The performers will bring heart, passion and create excitement. The show is made up of mass choreography, a parade of the stars, the cutting of the ribbon and special guests. We’ll run through Juve’s record of achievements".

An article in Juventus.com says the pitch dimensions are 105m x 68m, after i read it i directly went to Barcelona official website to check the Camp Nou's dimensions to compare between both cos our new pitch always looked small to me,couldn't find anything to help in their website i then went to Wikipedia. And i was shocked when i found that Camp Nou has the same dimensions. Why then ours look smaller? Is it because the camera in Camp Nou is very high?

I honestly don't trust Wiki that much but still.

Should be because the camera is high up, compared to one like the Allianz Arena where the camera is lower. Most fields are those same dimensions.

All new stadiums of category 3 or 4 are of the same size, 105mx68m. UEFA set these standards I think in the late 90s or early 00s, but they were updated in 2006. Some older stadiums retain smaller pitches but they can't host UEFA competition games. A good example of these standards is Catania's pitch which is being updated to UEFAs standards.

If Nou Camp was of a different size Barcelona would have to play their home games in the CL somewhere else.

*Update* Tottenham's stadium is 100mx67m and they played in the CL a year ago. I think the 105mx68m rule only applies to newly built stadiums.
