Yeah, my girlfriend took a bunch of lessons abroad, and no wonder, it's simply way too expensive now. Most of the people getting licenses are young people, who simply doesn't have that kind of money. I'd have no chance of affording it without financial aid from my parents, and people who are poorer off must probably save up a long time to get their lessons.

it actually cost me about 1500euros, and I still have to do the nightdriving... And within two years I'll have to do the second phase too... It's nothing really, but it costs... :down:

It depends on the State. Since I live in Pennsylvania, they don't require a class, just what I stated above. The State I live next to, Maryland, requires a class for each new driver. All I had to do was take a permit test to recieve permition to drive only while my parents were in the car, and then take the on-road driving test, which was rather easy.
