and i bet kerouac is your favorite author... for this very same reason i hate all hipsters with a passion, not liking something doesnt set you apart it just makes you miss out on a potential like not to mention live like a fucking idiot.

Or Wiz Khalifa stealing Deadmau5's 'I remember' or that douche bag Will I Am literally just stealing Boyz Noize's track and putting some shitty lyrics over it. I really don't understand how these dead shits can live with themselves literally taking tracks, not even bothering to change anything, defacing them with the terrible shit that comes out of their mouths and then claiming the track to be their own. What a bunch of dicks.

This argument I should just reiterate is completely retarded. Music taste is relative but you can't dispute Led Zeppelins genius. Even if they did rip off a few songs they have countless original songs which are incredible. Moreover, their live shows are testimony to their creativity. If you've ever seen one you would know how tight and talented they were and their ability to improvise throughout their shows was simply amazing. They may have been heavily influenced by former artists (perhaps too influenced) but Led Zeppelin were the vehicle through which all that amazing music could reach millions of people throughout the world.

    God bless them.

fuck deadmau5. Yeah I was almost going to post the will.i.am.a.faggot 'Yeah' plagarism too.

:agree: and this fucker thinks he's too high up to listen to them or something because they were influenced by a few artists/songs. And of course all the artists he listens to are completely original.

I'm not a huge Zeppelin fan anymore, but some of their quieter songs are quite magical. I've always loved "That's the Way" and any other song where John Paul Jones whipped out the mandolin. Something about the atmosphere that the quieter songs give, especially on "That's the Way". It's their best song for me, musically and lyrically.

There's no denying that the grooves and timings in some of their heavier songs are pretty wild as well.

    Led Zeppelin thread?

Anyway... bought Celebration Day (their 2007 concert) on Blu Ray + 2CD... wow. Fucking amazing, them at their very best, great setlist too. I recommend to all Zep fans.

Saw Heart do Stairway to Heaven with an orchestra and choir on some Led Zep tribute show, was pretty fucking amazing, Bonham's son played the drums and Ann Wilson delivered incredible vocal performance. The rest of the show was meh though.
