Milan’s proposed plans for their new stadium have been unveiled, presenting a project with an estimated cost between €300m and €320m.

The club revealed four days ago that they were planning on a 48,000-seater stadium to be opened in 2018-19.

New images released by the club and the Gazzetta dello Sport today further add detail to the Rossoneri’s proposal.

The stadium is planned to rise in the area of the old Fiera Campionaria di Milano, which is in Portello, in the centre of the city.

The Gazzetta reiterate that the infrastructure will include two floors of parking, a football academy, a hotel, and an exhibition area.

The price of the investment is estimated between €300m and €320m, with €220-240m for the stadium and the remainder for the adjoining structures. According to la Gazzetta, this sum will be provided entirely by Milan's sponsors.

The stadium is expected to be ecologically friendly, capable of recycling rainwater for its bathrooms and powered partly with solar power, and it will be completely soundproof thanks to new inbuilt sound-absorbing technology.

IMO the inside has that generic modern arena look, something you could find in most newly-built Brazilian stadia for the WC. It lacks character, uniqueness, soul.

The outside on the other hand looks good for what it's trying to achieve, a futuristic "go green" design. One could point out how it looks like a mall but then, aren't all those modern arenas malls?

We need all the new stadiums Serie A can get...Serie A is shot at the moment, were ready 14 points ahead in March. Juventus's gap separates us so greatly from the crippled clubs along with their delapitdated stadiums...minus Cesena :D great atmosphere there like Highbury in Italy.

Now I understand what Roma insist on having every stadium based on the Colosseum, because their team gets thrown to the wolves every season.

I was there a few weeks ago against Lazio, still looks like shit in large parts, but it's great to see some progress in that department in Serie A.

It strikes me that Italian teams are building their stadiums for significantly less money then EPL teams, while having simular seating capacity and business seates/loges
